Private - Direct Entertainment Bookings
As Coast Entertainments effectively act as an employment agency, our involvement in any agreement is strictly as a negotiator of terms between you the client and the entertainer.
Coast Entertainments take every possible precaution to ensure agreements are fulfilled between you, the client and the entertainer booked, however we can not be held accountable for breach of any contract.
FEES – Coast Entertainments service is free to clients, We generate income by charging the entertainer a small percentage fee for obtaining and passing on the booking. Some agents, in addition to fees taken from the entertainer, also charge you the client an administration fee. We are pleased to say that our service remains free to clients, and that we apply NO additional charges whatsoever.
Coast Entertainments require private clients to pay a deposit when booking entertainment for Weddings, private functions etc. This deposit is normally the equivalent of 15% of the overall fee. This deposit is non refundable (Coast entertainments will only refund a deposit payment when the engagement has been cancelled by us, in this case, the full deposit will be refunded immediately). Deposits must be received by us before we can issue any contract or agreement between you the client and the entertainer.
Final Balance – The final balance fee for any private engagement must be received by us 2 weeks before the date of any engagement. Final Balance fees can be paid by Cheque – Cash – Electronic bank transfer.
Cancellation
In the unlikely event of the entertainer cancelling the agreement due to ill health – injury etc. Coast entertainments will endeavour to offer you an alternative entertainer of similar size, style and cost, if this is unacceptable, Coast Entertainments will offer you a full refund of the agreed fee
Our contract agreements are designed to offer protection to both the entertainer and the hirer. As a hirer you can request to cancel a contract agreement, however the following charges will apply.
If you Cancel
0-20 Days from engagement 100% of the agreed fee
21-30 Days from engagement 75% of the agreed fee
31-90 Days from engagement 60% of the agreed fee
91-120 Days from engagement 50% of the agreed fee

On cancellations between 0-120 days, Coast Entertainments will only deduct the same percentage of commission as the entertainer has received from the agreed amount. IE – If the hirer cancels 21-30 days from the date of the agreement, they have to pay 75% of the agreed entertainers fee. We would then only deduct 75% of our commission from the entertainers fee.
